Hello Neighbors!
Today is the 3rd Annual Philly Photo Day, sponsored by the Philadelphia Photo Arts Center.
Everyone in the city of Philadelphia is encouraged to take a photograph with a camera, a phone, or even a computer and upload it to the Philadelphia Photo Arts Center’s website before Oct. 31st: http://www.philaphotoarts.org/. Your photograph will be printed by the Arts Center and will be a part of a mass exhibition held nearby at the PPAC’s gallery space in the Crane Arts Building (1400 N. American Street) on December 6th.
The parameters are pretty simple:
Your subject can be of anything
Your photo has to be taken within the city limits of Philadelphia
The photo has to be taken TOMORROW- Friday the 26th (from 12 AM – 12 PM)
Be sure to be a part of this city-wide initiative! You’ll even have a chance to have your photograph be one of the select images that will be placed on SEPTA trains and buses, and billboards around the city.
The PPAC has also partnered with community organizations and local artists to teach photography basics like lighting and composition, and help participants select their best photos. The full list of where to take part in a demo or workshop can be found on the Philadelphia Photo Arts Center's website.
Hope to see some great shots of our neighborhood :)
