The smell comes and goes, but is definitely present in all weathers. I can't tell if it's worse when it's warm out or if there are just more people around at the park to notice it when it's warm out.

And hah hah, the smell was around a long time before the homeless couple -- but it's a fine time to reiterate to PLEASE call Project Home if you see them. It's a 24 hour number and they will dispatch someone to talk with them. . . but it has to be at a moment when they are there. The 24-hour number is (215) 232-1984.

If the couple -- or anyone at the park -- seems violent or unstable, call 911 instead and report it. The park's address is 913-961 North 3rd Street.

(Overarching theme -- Liberty Lands belongs to the neighborhood and everyone can and should help take care of it! If you are aware of a problem at the park, please do something about it directly at that moment. The park coordinators do try to keep track of things, so it's also helpful to tell us about the problem (and what you did about it!) -- park@nlna.org)

Thanks.

Anyone figure this out? I'm thinking it's possibly a portable kerosene heater? Smelled it the other day and it reminded me of cold days in the shop.
