Texting while biking in Northern Liberties

Last night around 10 p.m., my car alarm went off. When I went out to check on it, a young girl had slammed into my parked car with her bike - she was texting while biking. Can you image someone riding a bike at night and texting? Anyhow, after making sure she was OK (she had fallen) I offered her water and a towel, and then checked my car for damage. She put a nice scratch along the side. Such is life in the city!

Unfortunately far too easy to believe - I frequently see bike riders with headphones on, texting while riding hands-free, of course, not to mention texting while skateboarding (often with headphones as well). Most common in my experience: texters walking blindly into moving traffic at intersections. Makes it really hard to text while driving your car! (that's a joke, btw)
