Canal Street/Live Nation Project

From the article it appears that Fishtown residents met with the developers and approved this project. Was NoLibs involved? Its seems like this would impact NoLibs more than Fishtown.

i thought i heard/read somewhere that NL would get a courtesy/informational meeting from the developers, but not an actual community vote like the FNA meeting... which doesn't really seem fair, given that this is a huge project right on the border of the two neighborhoods and impacts us equally if not more.

It seems like the idea is to connect Sugarhouse with the Piazza. I don't understand why NoLibs wouldn't have a voice in this project.

The developer is coming in to the October NLNA Zoning Committee meeting.

This certainly will impact NL, without a doubt. However, this initial phase is only north of Frankford, and our northern boundary in that area is Laurel (which is just south of Frankford at that point). Future phases will include stuff within our boundaries, and in that case we'll be the primary neighborhood group reviewing the proposal.

Best,
Matt
