putting a reckless driver on blast

Postby carpetbagger » Fri Sep 07, 2012 8:40 am

white mercedes convertible, "MED-SURG" license plate: you drive like a total jerk. blowing throw stop signs (not even rolling through, straight up blowing them), busting down small side streets when there is oncoming traffic with the right of way, causing them to go up on the curb. you live in the neighborhood (seen this car parked around 4th and poplar a lot), why are you being so menacing towards and disrespectful of your neighbors?? oh, i guess you're a surgeon and thus more important than everyone else walking or driving?

(i don't drive, i have witnessed these and other occurrences as a pedestrian).

What does putting a reckless driver on "blast" mean?

Everything you posted could be said the same for area bicyclists too, except the license plate part.

how many cyclists severely injure or kill people they hit per year in accidents? how many cars severely injure or kill people they hit per year in accidents? also, i didn't know a bike riding down the street could force a car up on the sidewalk. usually it's the other way around.

on blast: consult urban dictionary for a definition.

It's actually awesome to give the entire neighborhood a descriptive warning about an inconsiderate and dangerous driver. Haven't encountered her yet but she lives around the corner so I'm glad to have the forewarning.

i have seen both a male and female driving this car at different times (i'm assuming husband/wife?). at least, from the glimpses i have caught it has looked like two different people.

Good to know. People with kids would probably rank stop sign blowers second or third on their list of worst people.

As for the bombing down one-lane two-way side streets, I have an informal rule that whoever is on the block first should refuse to pull over for someone who inconsiderately crosses an intersection onto the block and expects them to get out of the way.

I've seen the car driving on the streets in the neighborhood before, but don't recall any outrageous behaviors.

I agree. I think it's a good idea to do stuff like this. Maybe word will get back to people like this and then they can put an end to their behavior.
