Need help finding totaled (and towed) car

I have learned that my car was totaled last week in a DUI.

Apparently, on 8/28 at 10:30am, on the 1000 block of North 5th St (across from the Catholic St. John Neumann Church) a drunk driver crashed into it and two other cars. My car, a black Toyota echo, was struck by the side and had its wheels/suspension bumped out of it.

(I didn't realize it for a while as I don't drive every day).

I am trying to find my vehicle to retrieve any belongings; however, the police report does not have the tow company. (They thought it was a tow company at 3770 Jasper St., but didn't have a name or number, and google isn't helpful so far).

How do I find out who towed it / where my car is? This information wasn't on the police report.

Is there a "go to" list of usual tow companies that I could check with?

Some more questions:

What will happen next, assuming I find where my car has been towed to? If it's a wreck, and I don't want the car, will the tow company try to charge me some fee if I want to retrieve belongings from the car?

Does anyone know what a towed car's driver's rights are?

did you call your insurance company?

you have the right to pay only in cash and be treated with very little respect by the tow truck company. good luck dude!

I'd start by calling the police district...here's a link to the 26th if that's where you car was parked:

If you can't get information there, call 311.

And definitely call your insurance company!!

george smith is the company that does the towing for all of the tower properties, so they would be on the top of my list of candidates...
