Can't wait to try it! Especially considering that Circles seems to be closed every time I want to order from there.

Yum!!! Two thumbs up for these guys! We couldn't wait for noon today...so of course, as soon as those doors opened, we ran over to order....we like to eat! :) The food was delicious, everyone there was friendly- I think this will make a great addition to our neighborhood. The sampler plate on the appetizer list was huge...it could definitely make a meal (or two)...and all of it was outstanding- including the pad thai!

My gf and I went and checked it out this afternoon. The place looked nicer than what I expected given the description given online in terms of offering a lower price point.

We had the fried dumplings (Chinese style), the Thai tea (very sweet but also very tasty), my gf got a stir-fry in oyster sauce, and I got the drunken noodles. The food was delicious and the portions were very generous!

They mentioned that they will have lunch specials and also said something about takeout. We will definitely be returning to try more of the menu.

Greetings Friends and Neighbors,

Just wanted to reach out and say congratulations to Baan Thai on a very successful first day in business. I had the pleasure of eating there today and was absolutely impressed. The food is delicious and the hospitality is sincere. It is so important to me that everyone supports Samantha (the Owner) and her family. I wish them all the success in the world and look forward to dining there again in the very near future. Thank you to all of the people who make NoLibs a great place to live and work. I hope that Baan Thai gets to experience the same neighborhood support that we enjoyed at Sonata.

All the best,

Mark Tropea

my wife and i went on sunday night and we both thought that it was very good... my wife prefers baan thai over circles, although i actually give the edge to circles as far as food quality goes... that said, baan thai is very good, a little bit cheaper, and is closer to us than circles so it is likely to become our default thai place...

Wife and I went last night for dinner. Overall, it was a positive experience and we will come back again; however, Circles is still the favorite place for both of us.

We had the appetizer samplers, beef salad, and curry duck. Other than the satay, the rest were deep fried varying meat combo in wonton wraps of different shapes. We are not a fan of deep fried stuff so it's a matter of preference here that we didn't like the samplers that much. The beef salad portion is a bit more generous than Circles, but definitely not as flavorful. Now, the curry duck though was excellent. We like the crispiness and the very sizable portion. It's much more "basil-y" than Circle's and boneless; however, the dish is distinctly different and equally good in both places. At Baan's, it was on par with our favorite "Red Cilantro Duck" from Tamarind on South Street.

Prices were roughly the same. Some dishes were a bit higher than Circles and some were less. I think it's a wash in the end. Service was great, if anything they checked up on us too often. Presentation at Circles is better, if that means anything.

In any case, Baan is a good place overall and we will be back there to try their Pad Thai and Tamarind Duck. We really hope they do well. It's definitely is closer for us. In all likelihood, we'll be splitting our time in between Circles and Baan once we get to know the Baan menu more.

I'm SO happy Baan Thai has come to the neighborhood. It is absolutely the most authentic Thai food I've had in Philadelphia and the staff is lovely!

Very glad to hear folks like Baan Thai. I really like Circles and I hope both of these places thrive.

Best,
