Finnegan's Wake - in today's Inquirer

Postby marydankanis » Mon Aug 13, 2012 6:52 am

There's a big article on Finnegan's Wake in today's Inqirer (Monday, Aug. 13th) in which they appropriately refer to it as "a politically wired watering hole". The writer talks about the ""alley-like section of Bodine" - yo - that's a STREET!
Matt Ruben states sthat the only way to appease the neighborhood would be to cancel the plans for the balconies - and that the residents are united in their opposition. So, Finnegan's Wake is again (or still) in the news.

Democrat Tip O'Neill, during his years as Speaker of the House, declared "All politics is local". So, where did the Democratic politician ownership of Finnigan's first go when they wanted Bodine and the rest? Sure as heck wasn't to us "locals".
