The below incidents in the Northern Liberties area were recently reported to the 6th District:
BURGLARY:
Between 5 PM, Saturday, 07/21/12 and 7:30 AM, Monday, 07/23/12, the building under construction at 616 N. American St. was entered through a window and all the wiring was cut and 9 copper bathroom diverters were taken. 6th District Officer Sweeney was unable to lift latent fingerprints due to the dust and dirt on site.
CAR THEFT:
On Tuesday, 07/24/12, between 8:45 AM and 2 PM, a 2001 Ford, parked in the 800 block N. American St. was taken without permission.
ARRESTS REPORTED:
On Saturday, 07/28/12, 6th District Officers issued a citation for Disorderly Conduct outside 200 Spring Garden St. at 2:40 AM.
On Saturday, 07/28/12, 2:55 AM, 6th District Officer Crichton responded to a 911 call of a theft in progress in the unit block E. Fairmount Ave. Upon arrival the officer saw a male inside a parked 1997 Lexus with a broken window. The male fled, north on Delaware and was apprehended after a foot pursuit, a pair of stolen sunglasses were recovered and returned to the owner. The 41 year old homeless offender was charged with Theft From Motor Vehicle.
