More about ReSourceArts:
At the core of everything ReSourceArts seeks to accomplish is a commitment to providing high-quality art and creative endeavors, all with a conscious undertone. We want to make the world a better place. We believe the best way to begin is through creative expression.
We accomplish this by designing innovative performance spaces for artists to create, to collaborate, to inspire and to present their work, as well as to provoke dialogues with like-minded organizations about the issues most pressing to their surrounding communities.
The Event:
50+ artists of varying genres – from dancers to musicians, from muralists to chefs – will be participating in a week-long arts and community event, making it one of the most unique collaborations to be taking place this summer. For one week, July 29 – August 5, 2012, RSA will be transforming Crane Arts Old School: The White Space into a center for emerging and established artists of all forms to share their crafts with the community.
Each day of the event offers unique programming that showcases these artists at their finest – from creating a four-course Korean-fusion meal to offering mini workshops in genres from Capoira to Zumba, from an open mic night where the audience helps to craft the poem to a dance battle and party – this event offers something for everyone. And while each day is intentionally unique, the one thing they each have in common is that they all promise to offer fun, festivities, and freedom... of expression! Tickets are reasonably priced (from free - $60) and all ticket sales help to support the fantastic artists performing/showcasing in RSA events.
We hope to see you there!
