Today's Inquirer (Friday, March 16) features an article on upholstery classes at the Portside Arts Center in Port Richmond. It sounds like a really interesting class. The Arts Center is located at 2531 E. Lehigh Ave. (across from Stock's bakery - the building with the beautiful mural on it). For the purpose of full disclosure, the director of the arts center, Kim Creighton, is a friend of mine.
Be that as it may, they have fabulous courses there, including a summer camp for kids. They also have Mommy and Me art classes, as well as lots of art and music courses.
